Are books still a thing in 2014? And no, I’m not talking about eBooks (but if ebooks are your thing, here’s a great one to read!).
I’m talking about those little paperback notebooks filled with words that require you to lick your finger just to turn the pages. Ahhh! THOSE kinds of books.
As modern marketers we appreciate the evolution of content; especially the convenience of content to be read across various digital platforms. But I have to admit, it’s somewhat sad that we’ve adapted to the “better, faster, more efficient” way of reading and totally forgetten about the simplicity of good ol’ fashioned books.
This holiday gift giving season, we want to take it back to the basics of marketing. No disrespect to Kindles, Buffer or your mobile app store, but we think it would be good for the modern marketer to go back to their reading roots and crack open a book or two.
